Deer Creek Broadcasting is a small-market broadcast company based in Chico, California. Its general manager is longtime on-air personality and former KHSL-TV general manager Dino Corbin. Deer Creek owns six Chico radio stations, KPAY NewsTalk 1290, KCKS SportsFan 101.7, KHSL-FM 103.5 "The Blaze", KMXI FM Mix 95.1 and KHHZ-FM 97.7 "La Gran X/Radio Mexico", KEWE AM Spanish Radio 1340.
KMXI, KPAY, and KHSL were purchased by McCoy Broadcasting more than 10 years ago, under the management of Dave Brower. It was during this time that all the radio stations in the Radio Group, went to, a DOS based, Scott Studio's Automation system. This system remained until 2001, when McCoy sold the group to Clear Channel Communications under the management of Dino Corbin.
